Ms. Giblin is a partner of the Firm. She has spent her entire legal career litigating complex business cases, including securities, antitrust, and consumer actions. In addition to her law degree, Ms. Giblin has earned an MBA (with high honor) and is currently pursuing a doctorate in business administration.

Cases in which Ms. Giblin has played a key role include:

  • Peregrine Systems, Inc. Securities Litigation - Recovered $117 million for shareholders in case involving software manufacturer that falsified its financial statements.
  • Legato Systems, Inc. Securities Litigation - Recovered $85 million for shareholders. Obtained favorable decision on issue of first impression regarding discovery of testimony provided to the SEC.
  • Sonus Networks, Inc. Securities Litigation - Recovered $40 million for shareholders in securities fraud action arising from false statements and omissions allegedly contained in company's publicly issued financial statements.
  • Rent-Way, Inc. Securities Litigation - Recovered $30 million for shareholders of firm that misrepresented its financial condition by understating expenses and other manipulations.
  • Textainer Securities Litigation - Recovered $ 10 million for limited partners following general partner's alleged breaches of fiduciary duties and violation of federal proxy requirements in the valuation and sale of partnership assets.

Ms. Giblin is active in Toastmasters International, and has earned the Competent Toastmaster Award (2003), Advanced Toastmaster Bronze Award (2004) and Competent Leader Award (2004). She has served as her club's President (2003-2004, 2010), Vice President of Education (2008-2009), and Secretary (2009-2010). Ms. Giblin is also a member of the Golden Gate University Alumni Board (2008-present).

Ms. Giblin obtained her law degree at Golden Gate University School of Law in 1995, where she was a member of the Law Review (1995) and Assistant Editor of the school's newspaper, The Caveat (1993-1995). She was on the Dean's List (1994-1995) and received the American Jurisprudence Award for Real Property (1994). Ms. Giblin was also honored with several merit scholarships and served on the University's Moot Court Board (1994-1995).

Ms. Giblin graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1992 with a degree in Rhetoric. While at Cal, she was honored with the California Alumni Scholarship (1990-1991, 1991-1992) and the Marguerite Higgins Hall Memorial Scholarship (1991-1992). Ms. Giblin was an active member of the Society of Professional Journalists (1990-1992), and served as the organization's Vice-President (1991-1992).
